About Us

Founded in 2013, the Ventura Basketball Academy (VBA) has inspired thousands of athletes across the globe, from the youth to professional level. VBA Trainers, Vaughn Compton and Brendon Lavender, are known for their innovative style, effective training techniques, and strategic approach to player development. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, the VBA offers training sessions seven days a week.  We are also available to travel for Elite Camps/Clinics, in and out of the country.

The Ventura Basketball Academy works with athletes from the beginner level to the professional level. Our attention to the perfection of detail is what separates us from other training companies. Through specific instruction, detailed teaching, and “muscle memory” repetition, VBA is well known for the progressive development of our athletes.
