Brendon Lavender grew up in Mesa, AZ and attended local basketball powerhouse Mesa Mountain View High School. He played varsity as a sophomore on a multi-talented team that won back-to-back state titles. He was inducted to Mountain View’s “Hall of Fame”. After his outstanding high school career, he was one of the top prospects on the west coast pulling in numerous division-I scholarship offers. After being recruited by the legendary Lute Olsen, Brendon decided to play basketball for the University Of Arizona Wildcats. During his senior year at U of A, he led the Pac-12 in three-point FG percentage (.516). His FG percentage from behind the arc ranked fourth on U of A's all-time single-season three-point FG percentage list. During his four years, the Wildcats advanced to the Elite 8 and the Sweet 16. After receiving his Bachelor's degree, Brendon played professional basketball for the White Eagles Stockholm (Sweden) before co-founding the Ventura Basketball Academy with partner Vaughn Compton in 2013.

Brendon now runs Brendon Lavender Basketball and specializes in player development and mentorship. Brendon trains players from grade school to NBA and has had the privilege of working with thousands of players in his 10 years of training. His high-level basketball experience gives him a unique outlook on the game and his love and passion for the game allows him to motivate and improve each player he trains.
